Delivery drone

The meaning is  easily clear from the name. These are the devices used to deliver material with the help of drone. These are automated devices that can deliver goods without the help of a man.

This is a still emerging technology.In the United States initial attempts at commercial use of Delivery drone, such as the Tacocopter company for food delivery, were blocked by FAA regulation. As of 2015, delivering of packages with drones in the United States is not permitted. On the 13th March 2015, in Sheffield, FPS Distribution completed the first commercial delivery using a Delivery drone.

Drug cartels have used Delivery drone to transport contraband, sometimes using GPS-guided Delivery drone.

Skipping Rocks Lab in an attempt to make a more environmentally friendly alternative to single-serving plastic bottles created biodegradable blob called edible water bottle.
The edible water bottle is a blob-like water container made from sodium alginate gel.

Currently the edible water container is not available commercially, although the developers are working to bring it to market.Prototypes have been tested in several markets in Europe. Major challenges remain before the Ooho is marketed to the public. The membrane is thin, and not strong enough to withstand shipping and handling on a large scale. Drinking from it can be difficult because of its amorphous shape and lack of rigidity. Because the recipe is available through a Creative Commons license, the containers can be made by anyone who obtains the ingredients. The cost per container is less than 2 cents.

Holography is the science and practice of making holograms.

How it works?

Holography is a technique that enables a light field, which is generally the product of a light source scattered off objects, to be recorded and later reconstructed when the original light field is no longer present, due to the absence of the original objects. Holography can be thought of as somewhat similar to sound recording, whereby a sound field created by vibrating matter like musical instruments or vocal cords, is encoded in such a way that it can be reproduced later, without the presence of the original vibrating matter.

Samsung has reportedly revealed its first fold-able smartphone in a private meeting at CES 2018.

The phones will be made under the name galaxy x.

Not only that but Samsung in meanwhile ready to launch

 its Galaxy S9 series smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.   

BRAIN-GATE - SOMETHING THAT COULD HELP THE UNABLE

For people who are paralyzed, a brain-computer interface is sometimes the only feasible way to communicate. The idea is that sensors monitor brain waves and the nerve signals that control facial expressions. Predefined signals can then be used to control the computer. 

For example, the pattern of nerve signals associated with a left smirk might cause the cursor to move to the left, while a right smirk might cause it to move right; the brain waves associated with concentration might be associated with a double click, and so on. In this way, an otherwise paralyzed user can control a computer.

But there are significant problems with this kind of approach. The first is that these systems are highly susceptible to noise, so they often make mistakes. The second is that they are awkward and clunky to use, so communication is painfully slow. Typing speeds can be as low as about one character per minute. A way of significantly speeding up brain-control interfaces would be hugely useful.
